Fatwa regarding Credit Card - Is Credit card Halal or not ?

Asalamualikum

Our company switched to a new bank which provided us various new services for free. We just recieved the bundle package  from that reputed bank which also included credit card + Debit card etc etc.... all free of cost. So, we decided to find out the ruling for credit cards and its usage. One of us called Daruloom Korangi and asked regarding Credit Cards ruling. The reply was

"It is not halal and we have not provided any permission to make credits becuase the initial terms signed between you and the bank is INTREST Transactions approval from your side. You sign the document in which its clearly written that you are willing to pay INTREST. So It isnt allowed by us"

Vanilla Extract - Halal or Haram ?

While looking at the ingredients of some of the choclates at big stores in Karachi, I found Vanilla Extract in it. When searched on internet via GuideWays.com

You will clearly find that Vanilla Extract is HARAM

Ingredient	Halal Status
Vanilla Extract Name: Vanilla Extract Status: Haram Description: A flavouring extract made from the vanilla bean and used in candy, ice cream, and perfumes. To obtain Pure Vanilla Extract, cured Vanilla Beans are steeped in alcohol. According to law, Pure Vanilla Extract must be 35 percent alcohol by volume.Hence making it absolutely haram for consumption. Close	Haram
